"What I thought was weird", is when I hand my 7920X CPU installed, this was not a problem. At least with using Windows 10 Pro (1909). Zoran C I had the same problem, as you found out, you needed this set of driver chipset to. Can this be done in different way, by first installing EVGA's 04/17 release (or Intel's 10.1.8.6, whichever one is newer) and then whatever is latest release by Intel?

ZoranC philsward Try v3.8098 Thank you for posting this! Do you happen to know who has newer version of these drivers, Intel's V 3.8098 or EVGA's release? philsward You can use the latest chipset to install everything else, then grab the 10.1.17. I recommend only going with the 3.8098 drivers if you want a one stop solution. I'm guessing Intel is expecting Windows to push these through Windows Updates. They are supposed to be compatible with the x299 chipset, but after installing on a brand new x299 ftw k tonight, they don't work at all.

INTEL CHIPSET DRIVER WINDOWS 10 UNKNOWN ERROR DRIVERS
For some useless information: these drivers are called "Intel(R) Xeon(R) processor P family/Core i7 DDRIO Registers - 2088" Update: I was wrong about the 3.8213 drivers. DriverFiles/production/Windows10-圆4 folder After you get the first one done, you can tell Windows to "Search automatically for drivers" on the other 3. zip, extract it and point your driver update to the extracted.

You can use the latest chipset to install everything else, then grab the 10.1.17. Intel isn't keeping old drivers around for very long anymore. Try v3.8098 Link: can't post (evga forum rules.) Google Search: intel inf 3.8098 Grab it and make sure to save it somewhere. (v3.8213 as of this writing) You need to use an older version of the utility to specifically fix the missing Performance Counters drivers. Original Post: The "latest" INF Chipset doesn't have these drivers.
